Head of Media

Addaction was set up 50 years ago to help adults, young people and families with drugs, alcohol and mental health problems. Sadly, our services are needed today more than ever.

Through this role, you’ll have a unique opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Can see a story or an opportunity in the unlikeliest of places
  • Is passionate about maximising the opportunities for engaging digitally
  • Knows what’s happening in popular culture and how to take advantage
  • Looks at data and insight and sees opportunity
  • Can build an excellent press, media and social team fit for the digital world
  • Understands what makes key influencers, and the channels they use, tick
  • Is committed to making a real difference to the quality of people’s lives

What the role involves:

  • Running the media and social media function
  • Putting people who use our services and their needs firmly on the agenda
  • Producing attention-grabbing press releases, media and social collateral
  • Developing relationships to establish Addaction as a ‘go to’ news, content and media source
